Eligibility Criteria for Bank of Baroda Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the Local Bank Officer post must possess:

Preferred Certifications

Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State for which they apply, including:

The JMG/S-I pay scale is ₹48,480 – 2,000/7 – ₹62,480 – 2,340/7 – ₹67,160 – 2,680/7 – ₹85,920. Candidates with one year or more officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank will receive one advance increment. Other allowances and benefits will be provided as applicable under banking-sector settlements and Bank of Baroda policies.

Job Location

Selected candidates will initially be posted within the State for which they applied for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV Grade, whichever is earlier. After that period, they may be posted to any branch or office of the Bank anywhere in India, according to the Bank’s requirements.

Probation Period

Selected candidates will be placed on probation for 12 months of active service from the date of joining the Bank.

Service Bond

Selected candidates are required to execute a service bond. As specified in the notification, candidates must serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years after joining or pay an amount equivalent to three months’ gross salary, subject to a maximum of ₹2 lakh, if they leave before completing three years of active service.
